New novel, THE THIRD DAUGHTER  (September, HarperCollins): Sex and tango in Buenos Aires in the late 1800s. Inspired by Sholem Aleichem’s short story, it is a tale of a young woman lured from Eastern Europe into prostitution in South America—and her courageous struggle to free herself from this bondage while bringing down those responsible for it.
